At the end of a business trip to Madrid in 2001, I stayed a few extra days in Spain and took the night train to Barcelona. I had to be back in the States by a certain date, so I only had three days to see and experience as much as I could here. I loved Barcelona and its amazing contrasts of the gothic old and the modern new.
