A main thoroughfare through Barcelona, it's mostly for foot traffic. The tree-lined center is completely open with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Two tiny lanes on each site of the wide center walkway are used for auto traffic.

These scooters were everywhere in Barcelona. They often outnumbered the cars on the streets, and were extremely loud everywhere they went.

Gaudi was influenced heavily by nature and its forms. The columns at the Sagrada Familia rose above and created a tree-like canopy for a ceiling.

Gaudi's plans for the balcony here were absolutely beautiful and fantastical, but also seemed completely impractical.
